Who We Are

Fuzion Studio offers dance classes in Jefferson City, TN at 280 West Old Andrew Johnson Highway and is owned and operated by Kara Moss and MacKenzie Myers. These two sisters have a passion to dance and to offer quality instruction in a Christian atmosphere. Both have danced since age 3 and have dreamed of opening their own facility. With a vision to fuse quality instruction with values and integrity, Fuzion was born. Combined, Kara and MacKenzie offer over 20 years of teaching experience.

Kara's primary training has been Ballet and Pointe and she operates as Artistic Director and an instructor at the studio.

MacKenzie's focus has been Ballet and Irish and operates as the Director of the studio and an instructor. Also, MacKenzie is one of a very few certified Piloxing instructors along the East Coast.

This sister duo is dynamic and passionate about what they do, and they welcome you to Fuzion Studio.

Mission Statement

Fuzion Studio encourages both artistic expression as well as a healthy lifestyle. Through our doors you will find a positive, encouraging, fun, christian environment where all will feel welcome as they pursue their interest in the arts and healthy living.

Fuzion offers classes for all ages from the beginner to the more advanced. These classes will focus on excellent technique while fostering an appreciation for the arts.

In addition to offering a variety of dance, art, drama, music, gymnastics, and fitness classes it is also our goal at Fuzion to foster a heart of worship. We are dedicated to the truth that God is the Creator of all things and is worthy of our worship through every avenue of expressions available to us.

Our passion for the arts combined with our heart for the Lord is what compels us to open our doors.

The Staff

MacKenzie Myers

- Owner/Director/Instructor

MacKenzie serves the Fuzion families as studio director, instructor, and co-owner alongside her sister, Kara Moss. The studio opened it’s doors in January of 2012 and continues to welcome in the community offering hospitality, excellence, and a family-like atmosphere. MacKenzie has been dancing since she was three, and has been trained in Ballet, Pointé, Jazz, Tap, and Irish. She has participated in classes from Illuminer Fine Arts Studio, formerly located in Morristown, Studio Arts in Knoxville, and trained and performed with an Irish company based out of Kingsport. She has 16 years of teaching experience and enjoys teaching all different ages. MacKenzie is a licensed realtor, worship pastor at her home church, Heritage Fellowship, an author, and song writer, and simply loves reaching people and caring for them through these different outlets. She is married to Benjamin Myers, and has the joy of mothering two beautiful daughters, Hannah-Brooke and Judah-Grace. MacKenzie is very close to her sister, Kara, and together, the sisters and studio staff hope to equip the students of Fuzion with excellent technique while encouraging a strong sense of value and identity in each one.

Kara Moss

- Owner/Instructor

Kara Moss was raised in a home where appreciation of and participation in the arts was valued and encouraged. She began taking dance classes at the age of three and it has been a large part of her life since. Her primary focus in training has been ballet and pointe, but she has also had experience in gymnastics, jazz, and modern. Kara studied dance under Dawn Pruszkowski at Illuminer Fine Arts Studio in Morristown and Studio Arts in Knoxville. While at Illuminer Fine Arts Studio she had the opportunity to be an assistant teacher in the young ballet classes as well join Illuminer’s traveling ministry team, “The Company.” While living in Dagestan, Russian she had the tremendous opportunity to study Ballet and Pointe with the St. Petersburg Ballet. In addition to her training at both local and international studios, Kara has attended Ballet Magnificat!’s summer dance intensive.
Kara earned her bachelors degree in human development with a minor in early childhood development from East Tennessee State University. This background is a tremendous asset as she teaches dance to children. Kara has led dance ministries and is currently serving on the worship arts team at Heritage Fellowship in Jefferson City. Teaching dance workshops and speaking at worship arts conferences, Kara’s heart is to see the arts restored to the Kingdom, and is passionate about seeing others equipped in their giftings and talents.

Isabella Abdullayev

- Instructor

Isabella Abdullayev has taken dance since she was two years old. Recently she worked alongside Kara Moss as an assistant in teaching dance and has absolutely enjoyed working with the Fuzion Studio students. Isabella loves working with kids and has a real heart for the Lord, and she rejoices in honoring him through dance.

Heather Harvey

- Instructor

Heather Harvey was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. She began her dance training at The Fern Adair Conservatory of the Arts. She trained in ballet, jazz, and tap. She quickly became a senior member of the Theatre Ballet of Las Vegas, where she performed in works such as West Side Story and Ghost Town. Heather continued her training at the Colorado School of Ballet where she was cast as the doll in the Nutcracker and as a soloist in the Waltz of the Flowers. Heather took some time to raise her lovely family of seven children, then started dancing/teaching again in Alaska at the Dancer's Workshop and at Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy. She also danced as a senior company member in The Alaska Dance Theatre. During her stint with the Alaska Dance Theatre, Mrs. Harvey had the opportunity to dance works with renowned choreographers such as Toni Pimble from the Eugene Ballet, Troy Powell from Alvin Ailey, and with the James Sewell Ballet. As well, Heather was a coach for Dancer's Workshop Youth Company and has had several students who have placed first place in competitions such as NUVO and 5678. Heather currently dances at Fuzion Studio as a company dance member in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

Mercy Jones

- Instructor

Mercy Jones is extremely honored to be a part of the Fuzion staff full time this year! She has had the privilege to dance at Fuzion since day one and has loved every moment of it. Mercy is so thankful for this God given opportunity to teach your kids and kids in the community.

Michaela Jones

- Instructor

Michaela is so thankful she is able to be an instructor at Fuzion Studio! She’s danced ever since she was a toddler and found a true love for it when she was 13. Ever since, she’s danced many different styles. She’s done Ballet, Pointe, Irish, a little Hip hop, and her favorite: contemporary/modern. She’s so excited to be able to teach others and help them discover a love for dance. Her passion for movement and artistic visuals are all for giving God glory, and showing the worshipful and creative aspects of dance.

Lexi Light

- Instructor

Lexi Light is our Hip- Hop instructor here at Fuzion Studios. She is also a part of our Fuzion Dance Company. She has trained in multiple styles of dance throughout her life since the age of 3. This includes- Hip-Hop, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, and Competition Dance as well as Musical Theater. Lexi loves teaching kids of all ages about the arts and how we can express our selves through them. Her greatest hope is to use her gifts to impact the world around her.

Savannah Tacket

- Office Administrator

Savannah Tackett is native to Rogersville, Tennessee. She is currently a student at Walters State Community College in pursuit of an Associate’s of Science Degree in Business Management. She is enjoying the atmosphere while working at the studio and is excited to apply what she learns while obtaining her degree. This is Savannah’s second year working with Fuzion Studio, but her tenth year loving the arts created by this studio. As a lover of the arts, she feels blessed to be a part of such an amazing team who creates beauty with their genuine hearts. She is looking forward to what this year will bring for the studio and our Fuzion families.
